The Center for Commercial Studies and Research at the Faculty of Commerce organized a field visit to the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
The Faculty’s delegation consisted of 50 students, supervised by:
- Dr. Rania Oqeily – Lecturer, Accounting Department
- Dr. Boussy Fathy – Lecturer, Economics Department
- Dr. Hesham Amin – Lecturer, Business Administration Department
- Dr. Lora Tharwat – Lecturer, Accounting Department
- Dr. Mohamed Gamal – Lecturer, Accounting Department
- Dr. Sherif El-Gohary – Lecturer, Accounting Department & General Supervisor of the Center for Commercial Studies and Research
This visit came as part of the Faculty’s commitment to supporting its top students across different programs, encouraging them to engage with professional institutions in their field, and enhancing their skills and experiences through exposure to real-world practices.
The Faculty’s delegation was warmly received by Mr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz, General Director of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors, who welcomed the academic staff supervising the visit and the students. He emphasized the depth of existing and future collaboration between the Society and the Faculty, noting discussions about establishing a joint cooperation protocol aimed at offering specialized professional training programs for students and graduates.
During the meeting, Mr. Abdel Aziz provided an overview of the Society’s history and services, explained the membership requirements, and addressed the key challenges facing the accounting and auditing profession in Egypt’s business environment. He also shared valuable advice and guidance with the students regarding their post-graduation journey, helping them prepare to enter the labor market with professionalism.
At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Abdel Aziz extended his gratitude to Prof. Dr. Magdy Malegy, Dean of the Faculty, for his continuous efforts to advance the Faculty and expand its partnerships with professional bodies, thereby opening new horizons for students and strengthening their opportunities to gain practical experience aligned with labor market needs.
