BU holds a Conference on "Law and Egypt's Water Security"

Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University "BU" Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs; Prof. Tamer Samir, BU Vice-president for Education and Students' Affairs; and Prof. Reda Abdel Halim, the Dean of the Faculty of Law opened the 14th Annual Scientific Conference of the Faculty under the title of "Law and Egypt's Water Security towards a Comprehensive Vision to protect our Water Resources". In his speech, El Gizawy conveyed a message of thanks and greetings from Prof. Gamal El Saeed, BU President to the Faculty of Law on the occasion of its celebration of the Silver Jubilee and the 25th anniversary of its establishment. He said also that the Conference is in line with the National Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation as well as Egypt's Vision 2030 for sustainable development, as the state places at the forefront of its priorities the water issue, rationalization and raising the efficiency of its use through several axes. In the same context, Samir expressed his happiness for the presence between a constellation of jurists and judicial bodies, congratulating the Faculty of Law on the occasion of its celebration of the Silver Jubilee. Samir added that the water is one of the most important issues that concern the public opinion in Egypt, pointing out that the State is keen to find solutions and alternatives to face the water shortage through the establishment of seawater desalination plants and the development of irrigation methods as well as other matters related to water resources in Egypt.

STDF opens the applying for Financed Grants

The Sector of Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs, Benha University announced that the Science and Technology Development Fund "STDF" has opened the applying for financed grants in several fields: 1- Post Graduate Support Grant for post graduate studies researchers - Master's degree (MSc) and Doctorate degree (PhD) students. The total budget should not exceed: - 250,000 L.E for Master students - 350,000 L.E. for Doctorate students. 2- Second COVID-19 Pandemic Emergency Call, this Call is a continuation of the researches launched by STDF last March by the onset of the pandemic. The budget will be: - 3,000,000 LE for Regular project - 10,000,000 LE for Multi Center Project - 30,000,000 LE for Mega project. Benha University launches the Platform of Distance LMS

The E-learning Center, Benha University has launched, under the auspices of Prof. Gamal El Saeed - the University President, the platform of Distance Learning Management System "LMS" in the frame of the University's policy for digital transformation, raising and improving the technological capabilities of teaching and learning processes. Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said

that the LMS works on Moodle providing learning opportunity for all the University students in an appropriate educational environment which enabling all students to communicate with the teaching staff applying the hybrid education system, which depends on the combination of face-to-face and distance learning.
