BU council holds its meeting, under the presidency of Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa, BU president, in the presence of Prof.Dr. Nasser EL-Gizaway, the vice president of post-graduate studies and scientific research, Prof.Dr. Tamer Samir, the vice president of educational and students affairs, Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed Fouda, the vice president of community service and environment development, the faculties’ deans, the council members. BU president begins his speech by thanking the University’s diverse sectors for their exerted efforts in 2022 asserting that the university has developed with regard to many aspects by providing a great environment of learning and the scientific research for all students and magnifying the partnership with the local and the regional communities.  

Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa, BU president asserts that the University is keen to support the University hospitals for being a part of the community so as to be able to provide a high-quality service to the people of Qulubia governorate and the nearby governorates. This is done in the presence of Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa, BU president as he honors Eng. Ibrahim EL-Arabi, the company’s chairman of the board, Prof.Dr. Hani EL-Gamal, the dean of the healthcare applied technological sciences in EL-Minofya University, Chancellor. Mohamed EL-Gamal, the parliament member and the head of EL-Tewfik charity organization, the PM. Medhat EL-Kamar, the parliament member in Qulubia governorate.

BU Council honors the quality management system team in the University. This is conducted in the presence of Prof.Dr. Nasser EL-Gizaway, the vice president of post-graduate studies and scientific research, Prof.Dr. Tamer Samir, the vice president of educational and students affairs, Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed Fouda, the vice president of community service and environment development, the faculties’ deans, the council members and the assistant secretary-generals. BU president thanks the quality management team of their exerted efforts to keep the University accredited and top-ranked.

BU council honors the winners of the governmental excellence day in its third round. This is conducted in the presence of Prof.Dr. Nasser EL-Gizaway, the vice president of post-graduate studies and scientific research, Prof.Dr. Tamer Samir, the vice president of educational and students affairs, Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed Fouda, the vice president of community service and environment development, the faculties’ deans, the council members and the assistant secretary-generals. BU president congratulates, on behalf of, the winners for their excellence and success on being effective member in the administrative staff of the University. Mrs. Hend EL-Sadaany wins third place as one of the top employees, Mr. Mahmoud Ebeid wins as one of the best five general managers and IT portal team wins, under the presidency of Prof.Dr. Shady EL-Mashad, wins as one of the best 10 websites in providing high quality services.

Colonel/ Abdel Hamid EL-Hagan, Qulubia governor and Prof.Dr Gamal Sosa, BU president attend Al-Azhur annual day ceremony that marks the establishment of Al-Azhur institution in 7th of Ramadan. This is done in the presence of a number of parliament members, Eng. Mustafa Mogahed, the head of water and drainage system Company, Sheikh. Mamdouh Abdel Gawad, the head of the central administration of the Al-Azhur in Qulubia, several executive and security leaders in the governorate and the representative of the Egyptian family household. BU president congratulates the grand Imam. Prof. Dr. Ahmed EL-Tayib on the establishment of Al-Azhur and values its great role to preserve the Islamic religion and the Islamic heritage. He also heaps praise of Al-Azhur scholars and academic members in all fields.

Prof.Dr Gamal Sosa, BU president announces that the “Unified certificates system” app has been launched to release the University’s various certificates either for the graduates or the University’s students. BU president asserts that this system saves time and effort for the clients and the administrative staff alike, organizes workflow and facilitates the certificates’ release. This new app comes in accordance with Egypt vision 2030 to take a huge leap in the institutional performance and honing the human potentials and it also coincides with the strategic plan of the University to computerize the workflow and transform to the digital age, therefore the employees’ potentials are enhanced in the IT Field and the leveling up the digital content of the University.

Benha University participates at the international exhibition of higher education and training “Edu gate 2030” in its 12th round. This exhibition is held from 7-3-2023 to 9-3-2023 in one of Cairo’s hotels as many Universities and educational institutions take part in. this exhibition is held under the auspices of Prof.Dr. Ayman Ashour, the minister of higher education who was greeted by Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa for launching the national strategy of higher education that will enhance the quality of education, link the scientific research to the development and hone the Egyptian graduate to cope up with the work demands locally and globally. The University president expresses his joy for seeing many students visiting BU’s pavilion as he stresses that the university is keen to participate in such great events, like “Edu gate”   

Under the auspices of Prof.Dr. Mustafa Madbouli, the Egyptian prime minister and the presence of his Excellency Mr. president/ EL-Sisi of healthcare affairs, the minister of higher education and scientific research, the minister of planning, the minister of health, the minister of communication, the minister of finance, the minister of education, the minister of youth and sport, the minister of agriculture and the minister of labor, Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa participates in the events of launching the national strategy of higher education and scientific research. He expresses his joy to participate in such great event that comes in accordance with Egypt’s vision 2030 in cooperation with the various ministries and authorities. He also asserts that launching this national strategy stems from its pioneering role in the region and its impact to reinforce the plans of Economic reform of Egypt.

New department heads in Benha University

Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa, BU president issues many decrees to appoint the following faculties’ members:

  • Dr. Sameh Zenhoim Abdel EL-Gawad as the head of the libraries and information department in the faculty of Arts
  • Dr. Haitham Ahmed Ibrahim as the head of the applications of fencing sport department in the faculty of physical education
  • Dr. Nabil EL-Sayed Mohamed as the head of education technology department in the faculty of specific education
  • Dr. Gamal Mohamed EL-Sayed as the head of Geology department in the faculty of science
  • Dr. Kawthar Saied Adnan as the head of commercial law department in the faculty of law.
  • Dr. Dina Mohamed Tohamey as the head of Chinese department in the faculty of Arts
  • Dr. Heba Saber Amin as the head of Geography department in the faculty of Geography
  • Ahmed EL-Saied Ahmed as the head of sociology department in the faculty of Arts.

In accordance with the community-oriented role of Benha University and the decent life initiative launched by his excellency Mr. president/ Abdel EL-Fattah El-Sisi to develop the Egyptian villages, the community development and environment service sector in the University sends a medical convoy to the village of Beltane/ Toukh. It’s noteworthy that this convoy is sent under the auspices of Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa, BU president, Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed Fouda, the vice president of community development and environment service sector, Prof.Dr. Mohamed EL-Ashab, the dean of the faculty of medicine and the University hospitals chairman of the board, Prof.Dr. Nermeen Adly, the vice dean of the community development and environment service, Prof.Dr. Amr EL-Dakakney, the executive manager of the university hospitals, prof.Dr. Mahmoud EL-Sabroot, the deputy minister of the ministry of youth and sport and Ms. Rania Motaaz, the assistant secretary-general of community development and environment service.
