History Note about the Faculty

The University started as a Zagazig university branch and in 25/01/1976 the decree No. 1143 issued to construct a branch for the Zagazig University includes ;Faculties of Commerce, Science & Education and faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Mochtohor. The branch contained 12 faculties.
In 07/03/2005 the presidential decree No. 84 for 2005 has been issued to construct three new universities and modify some regulations rules related to the universities organization Law

and after review the constitution & the universities organization law No. 49 issued for 1972
and the presidential decree No. 809 for 1975 with the regulation of law 49 for 1972 concerning the universities organization affairs & after the approval of the Supreme Council of Universities and approval of the Council of Ministers based on what’s shown by the Minister of higher education and the Minister of State for Scientific Research, it has been approved to construct three universities
as the following:

• Benha University & its location Benha city.
• El Fayum university & and its location in El Fayum city.
• Bani Suef University and its location in Bani Suef city.

On the other hand, branches of El Fayum and Bani Suef which follows Cairo University should be canceled according to what mentioned at Article No. (1) at the executive regulation of the universities organization law.

This article should be added to “the university construction” of the article No. (11) from the executive regulation of the universities organization Law.
