Benha University launches the Platform of Distance LMS
The E-learning Center, Benha University has launched, under the auspices of Prof. Gamal El Saeed - the University President, the platform of Distance Learning Management System "LMS" in the frame of the University's policy for digital transformation, raising and improving the technological capabilities of teaching and learning processes. Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said
that the LMS works on Moodle providing learning opportunity for all the University students in an appropriate educational environment which enabling all students to communicate with the teaching staff applying the hybrid education system, which depends on the combination of face-to-face and distance learning. El Gizawy added that the students and teaching staff can visit LMS platform throughout the following link: undefined it is worth mention that the students and teaching staff can get their accounts to enter the platform by contacting the technological services units at the faculties or the coordinators of e-learning at the scientific departments.
Qalyoubia Governor and BU President receive the Minister of Youth and Sports
Major General Abdel Hamid El Hagan, Qalyoubia Governor and Prof. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University President received Prof. Ashraf Sobhy, the Minister of Youth and Sports in the presence of Prof. Osama Salah, the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education; the Faculty Vice-deans; Mr. Refaat Nan, the University Assistant Secretary General for Administrative Affairs; and the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports at Qalyoubia. The meeting came on the sidelines of PhD discussion presented by Researcher/ Mohamed Fawzy from the Faculty of Physical Education, Benha University under the title of " A proposed strategy for developing sports activities programs for specialized faculties at the Ministry of Youth and Sports".
The Participants in "Law and Egypt's Water Security" Conference confirm the Egyptian Rights in Nile Historically and Legally
The participants in "Law and Egypt's Water Security" Conference; which held under the auspices of Prof. Gamal El Saeed - Benha University "BU" President and opened by Prof. Nasser El Gizawy - BU Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs, Prof. Tamer Samir - BU Vice-president for Education and Students' Affairs, and Prof. Reda Abdel Halim - the Dean of the Faculty of Law; confirmed the Egyptian rights in Nile historically and legally. The participants in the Conference also recommended the necessity of forming an Egyptian Supreme Council for Water Security from water and irrigation experts known for their scientific and practical competence and granting them all legal powers to manage the water file internally and externally.
BU looks for Cooperation with AUC
In the frame of Benha University's "BU" policy to open up to local, regional and international universities for maximizing the partnership opportunities between them, BU International Relations Office has organized a webinar with the American University in Cairo "AUC" under the auspices of Prof. Gamal El Saeed - BU President. The participants in the webinar from BU are: Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, BU Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs; Prof. Hala Zayed, the Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence; Prof. Mahran El Naggar, the Director of the International Relations Office; and Prof. Abdel Samiee Halawa, from the Faculty of Medicine. The participants in the webinar from AUC are: Prof Ehab Abdel Rahaman, the AUC Vice-president; Prof. Alaa Idrees, the Deputy Assistant for Scientific Research; Prof. George Marqes, the Dean of Students' Affairs; and Prof. Ahmed Abdel Latif. El Gizawy said that the webinar discussed the ways of cooperation between BU and AUC at the level of
academic programs, scientific research, innovation and creativity, in order to maximize the use of the financial and human potentials of the both universities. In the same context, AUC invited some professors with students from BU to visit it to identify the opportunities available in it, the nature of study and the various fields of scientific research
BU President congratulates Azar for selecting him among the World's Top 2% of Scientists
Prof. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University President congratulated Prof. Ahmed Taher Saleh Azar, the Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence for selecting him among the World's Top 2% of Scientists and ranked 623 from 215,114 scientists in the field of artificial intelligence. The ranking list has been published by Stanford University in PLOS Journal based on Scopus: undefined It is worth mentioning that Prof. Ahmed Taher Saleh Azar has got recently "Shoman Arab Researchers Award 2020" on the subject of machine learning (computers) and major analytical data.
BU participates in the Virtual Forum of AAU
Under the auspices of Prof. Gamal El Saeed - Benha University President "BU", the University participated in the Virtual Forum for the African Higher Education Institutions which held by the Association of African Universities "AAU" at Alazher University. Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, BU Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that BU was represented by Prof. Ahmed Youssef, the Director of the International Students Unit and Prof. Mahran El Naggar, the Director of the International Relations Office. El Gizawy added that AAU is the voice of higher education in Africa and the Forum is considered an opportunity for consultation, exchange of information and cooperation between higher education institutions in Africa. He also said that the Forum aims to provide the opportunity for African higher education institutions to communicate and acquaintance by introducing each institution to itself in order to enhance cooperation between African higher education institutions and achieve the development for the African continent.
14 Scientists from BU in World's Top 2% Scientists' List by Stanford University
The Stanford University has released a list that represents the top 2% of the world scientists. The exhaustive list has nearly 160.000 scientists from 149 countries based on Scopus in 176 disciplines as the following link: undefined Prof. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University "BU" President said that 14 scientists from BU have got 7 ranks in
various scientific fields according to the list of Stanford University for World's Top 2% Scientists. In this regard, El Saeed congratulated the University's scientists named in the World's Top 2% Scientists' List wishing more success for them during their careers. Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, BU Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that the appearance of some BU scientists in this international report is a significant achievement for the researchers of BU, as it indicates the quality of their research outputs, referring that the report depends on the Scopus database of Elsevier, which published recently in the PLOS Biology and classified into 22 scientific disciplines and 176 sub- disciplines
