Faculty of Commerce Students at Benha University Participate in the CFA Competition

Students from the Faculty of Commerce, Benha University, took part in the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Competition, which aims to enhance students’ financial knowledge, analytical skills, and decision-making abilities in real-world business environments.

This participation comes as part of the Faculty’s keenness to encourage its students to engage in international competitions, develop their professional skills, and prepare them to compete effectively in the global labor market.

Seminar at Benha University’s Faculty of Commerce on Misconceptions about Ancient Egyptian Civilization

As part of the activities of the Cultural Salon for the academic year 2025/2026, the Faculty of Commerce at Benha University organized an awareness lecture entitled:
“Misconceptions about Ancient Egyptian Civilization”

The lecture was delivered on Sunday, September 28, 2026, by Prof. Dr. Wasim Roshdy El-Sisi, Professor of Urology and renowned researcher in Egyptology and Ancient Egyptian Civilization.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Magdy Meleigy Abdelhakim, Acting Dean of the Faculty, emphasized that this seminar comes within the framework of raising awareness of the importance of Ancient Egyptian civilization and its remarkable achievements in various fields such as arts, architecture, and medicine, while fostering a sense of national belonging.

Prof. Dr. Gehan Abdelhady stressed that Ancient Egyptian civilization is the oldest and most profound in the world, and that the University consistently seeks to enhance students’ awareness and pride in their heritage.

During the lecture, Prof. Dr. Wasim El-Sisi addressed a number of misconceptions about Ancient Egyptian civilization, including:

  • Were the Ancient Egyptians polytheists?
  • Was Greek civilization the origin of other civilizations?
  • Was Ancient Egyptian civilization merely a “civilization of death”?

He concluded by affirming that Ancient Egyptian civilization is the oldest and greatest in the world, and that many other civilizations drew inspiration from it.
